The Xbox One is the successor to the highly regarded Xbox 360 that is a gaming console that desires to do so much more. Not much has been changed with its controller and headset, but the kinect was surely exceptional. Its interface advertises the ability to simply say "Xbox On" and immediately and effortlessly jumps into a game session or right on the TV.This all in one concept is what Microsoft is banking on.

If you're comparing it to SONY's PlayStation 4 or Nintendo's Wii U or any other platform, you have to think deeply about what matters to you most. Are you here just for the game or like me who wants something more?

The Xbox One Console chasey is boxy and utilitarian. Well its not exactly sexy, neither that much bigger compared to the other consoles today. Most importantly it remains quite during operation. The guts of the system is sufficient although not ambitious. The internal 500 Gb hard drive is crucial as you have to install every game before you play. Unlike the Xbox 360 it comes with a bluray drive.

The Xbox One User Interface like the windows platform before it the Xbox One introduces a bevy of multi-tasking features such as "Snap" the option to get a second screen of information. It's futuristic and in times the Xbox One mesmerizes with its truly innovative living room features. This has really never been done before in your television and certainly not for 500 dollars. Things like voice command and instant switching allow moments to happen.

The Xbox One Headset goes along with the console. Design wise it is just plain and simple. Though it may look boring it produces a pretty clear and audible sound.

The Xbox One Controller is a small evolution over the Xbox 360 and that is not a bad thing. Not too much has changed, except for finally having a real D pad. They've also added more action on the trigger and I like the grip alot more. The battery life is exceptional, the Kinect even tracks when you're not holding it to manage usage.The new Kinect also includes a 1080p resolution video camera that can be used for video recording and chat, in comparison to the VGA resolution of the Xbox 360 version.

The Xbox One Kinect is the center piece of Xbox One, the Kinect is basically the largest remote control in the planet. It can turn On or Off your TV, mute your receiver and show you your TV listings.The new Kinect features upgraded motion tracking and voice recognition functionality over its previuos version, including a wider field of view, the addition of a high definition camera, the ability to track up to six bodies at once, and the ability to track a player's heart rate is really awesome.

The Xbox One is an exciting entry into the new generation of home xbox one consoles. It surpasses Xbox 360 in in terms of its user interface and it offers a broader set of home entertainment features than its closes rival the PlayStation 4. A little more upgrade on the headset and controller will surely make alot of gamers happy. Lastly, if you are like me and is tired of the dumbest screen in your house being your TV, the Xbox one will change your living room forever. I for one will never turn off my console and TV with the controller again.
